Far Western XI sports club has completed preparation for 2nd Far Western Khaptad gold cup.

The championship is starting from Friday at Dhangadhi stadium. Twelve teams are participating in the event.

Aarju Rana To Inaugurate The Championship

The organizers have invited Dr. Aarju Rana, wife of PM Sher Bahadur Deuba, to inaugurate the championship.

Makeshift parapets

The organizers have set up makeshift parapets to accommodate more football fans. Now the stadium can accommodate more than 5,000 spectators.

Opener

Hosts Far Western XI will take on A Divison league team Chyasal youth club in the opening match.

Club president Suresh Hamal said that his committee had completed all preparation for the event. General secretary Prakash Shahi said they were ready to kick off the event.

Prize money

The championship has a winning purse of Rs 11,11,111 while runners up team will get Rs 5,55,555. The MVP will get one motorbike. Man of the match will get Rs 10,000.
