News Kailali: Star City Boys Union Club Clinches Title Of 4th Gauriganga Gold Cup

Star City Boys Union has won the title of the 4th Gauriganga Gold Cup National Knockout Football Tournament with a great victory. In the final, Star City Boys became the Union Champion by defeating Far West Pashupati Youth Club with a score of 5-0.

Kamal Deuba single-handedly scored four goals including a hat-trick for Star City Boys Union in the final match at Gauriganga Stadium on Thursday. Similarly, Bhupendra Shahi scored one more goal.

Star City Boys Union, who became the winners, won 6 lakhs in cash with the title, while Far West Pashupati was forced to settle for trophies and medals with 3 lakhs in cash.

Star City Boys Union's Kamal Deuba, who scored four goals including a hat-trick in the final, was elected the man of the match in the final. In other categories, Amanat Sheikh of Far West was the best goalkeeper, Narendra Chaudhary of Star City was the best defender, Abhinash Thapa of Star City was the best midfielder and Kamal Deuba of Star City was the best forward.

Gouriganga XI's Nirajan Dhami was declared the emerging player. All those who excelled in the department received 15,000 rupees each. Similarly, Kuber Singh of Star City was selected as the best player of the tournament. He received Rs.50,000.

Speaking on the occasion of the closing program, Dinesh Kalel, chairman of the organizer Gauriganga-11 Sports Club, Gauriganga, expressed his gratitude to all those who helped to successfully complete the fourth edition of the competition.
