2nd football and cultural fest got underway at Dalbhanjyang, Gorkha on Thursday. The Ocean club is organizing the fest.

Friendly match between the players from Ocean club was organized in the opening day.

There are U13 and veterans championship in the fest.

The club president Amit Khatri said the fest was organized to collect fund for the construction of football training centre.

The champions in U13 category will get Nrs 11,111 while the winners in veteran category will get one goat.

Meanwhile, the club is honoring former Nepal international goalie Bikash Malla in the closing ceremony. They will also honor one personality with life time achievement award and the Ocean player of the year award.

Earlier, the program was inaugurated by Gorkha municipality mayor Rajan Raj Panta.

Ward chairman Kul Bahadur Kunwar, Gorkha district school football association Lal Prashad Shrestha, principal of Laxmi community school Kamal Thapa, club adviser Shiva KC, Kaji Ram Khatri and club secretary Sabin KC delivered their speech in the opening ceremony.
