Five matches have been successfully completed during the third week of the 9th Ocean Cup U-13 Interschool League, a youth football competition organized as part of the Gorkha Mayor Youth Football Development Project.

In the inaugural game at the Iman Bahadur Smriti Stadium, The Old Capital Mavi secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Ratna Rajya Mavi, with goals coming from Diamond Gurung, Vipan Gurung, and Vishwas Shrestha.

The second match witnessed Mahalakshmi Mavi triumphing over Morden Secondary English School with a narrow 1-0 win, courtesy of Sandeep Sirmal's solitary goal.

In the third clash, the host team, The Ocean Club, dominated Saraswati Mavi, clinching a 4-1 victory, with Jeevan Rimal netting all four goals for The Ocean, while Nischal Shrestha managed to score a solitary consolation goal for Saraswati.

The fourth contest saw Lakshmi Community Education Sadan defeating Ratna Lakshmi Mavi in a resounding 4-0 victory, with Sushil Rana notching a hat-trick and Kasam Thapa contributing one more goal for Lakshmi Community.

In the fifth and final game, Suryamukhi Boarding School and Navjyoti Mavi played to a goalless draw, resulting in both teams sharing the points.

The league competition, aimed at fostering youth football talent, offers a substantial cash prize of 7,000 along with the championship title for the winner, while the runner-up will receive 3,500, in addition to a trophy, medals, and certificates. Amit Khatri, the president of the hosting club, confirmed that significant prizes await the plate final winners, and match incentives have been arranged for all participating teams throughout the tournament.
