
All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) president Pankaj Bikram Nemwang has announced that the Nepali women's football team, which reached the final and became the runners-up in the first participation of the WAF Women's Championship, will be awarded with cash.
After welcoming the Nepali women's football team that returned home on Friday at the Tribhuvan International Airport, ANFA President Nemwang announced that each member of the team will be rewarded with NRs 51,000 each in cash.
Remember, in the title clash held on Thursday, Nepal was forced to become the runner-up after losing 5-3 in the tiebreaker against the former champion Jordan. Before that, both the teams played a 2-2 draw in the exciting match at the scheduled time in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Nepal defeated Iraq, Syria and Palestine in the group stage, and defeated Lebanon in the semi-finals to secure a meeting with Jordan in the final.
