The sixth edition of the Jhapa Gold Cup is starting today at the Domalal Rajvanshi Stadium in Birtamode.

Sankata Club and APF will compete in the opening match.

The main square of Birtamod has been decorated in preparation for the Gold Cup. In addition to cleaning, publicity has been intensified.

Singer duo Mahesh Kafle and Asmita Adhikari will perform during the inauguration. Similarly, the students of East Horizon English School in Dhulabari are scheduled to give various performances along with March Pass.

Chairman of Jhapa Gold Cup Binod Basnet informed that the grand preparations for the Jhapa Gold, which is to be held after two years, have been completed. He said that the Gold Cup will be successful with everyone's support.

A bamboo parapet has been prepared so that more than 10,000 spectators can watch the Gold Cup. 10 teams including A division clubs are participating in the Gold Cup. Jhapa 11 FC will compete on behalf of the host.

The winner of the Gold Cup will get an attractive trophy with cash of 13 lakhs. It is estimated that Rs 10.4 million will be spent to complete the sixth edition of the Jhapa Gold Cup.
