GoalNepal

Kathmandu (GoalNepal) - Germany National Team players, currently in Qatar, ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2022, have pledged to donate one million Euros to a children village in Nepal. Germany players will donate the sum to an SOS Children Village in Nepal, as first reported by German media DW.

This initiative aims to support children of migrant workers in Qatar or children who lost their fathers and can't get an education.

In the midst of the criticism faced by Qatar in light of the human rights crisis and the deaths of migrant workers, German players' initiative can be taken positively.

FIFA World Cup 2022 is kicking off tomorrow, with hosts Qatar taking on Ecuador in the opening match. The match will kick off at 9:45 PM NST.
