GoalNepal

Persija Jakarta, the team of Nepal's star midfielder Rohit Chand, has lost its second consecutive match in the Indonesian Super League.

Jakarta lost 2-1 to Borneo on Monday after losing 1-0 to Bali United on Thursday. Jakarta were left frustrated after they failed to hold on to their lead.

Marco Simik scored in the 20th minute to give Jakarta the lead. Francisco Torres equalized for Borneo from the penalty spot in the 49th minute. Wawan Febrianto scored the game's second and decisive goal in injury time to give Borneo a thrilling victory.

Borneo striker Mohamed Siran received a red card and was forced to leave the field shortly after scoring the second goal, but this did not detract from Borneo's victory.

After Monday's loss, Jakarta is at tenth place in the league table with 18 points from 14 games. With 22 points, Borneo is in seventh place.

Rohit participated in the game from start to finish. However, his efforts and performance were insufficient to save Jakarta from defeat.

Jakarta's next match is scheduled for Friday against Tira Persicabo.
