News Bharaul Veterans Club Reach The Quarters With A Dominant Performance

With a big win, Bharaul Veterans Club, Sunsari, has advanced to the quarterfinals of the first Duhabi Veterans Cup Knockout Football Tournament.

Bharaul defeated Mills Veterans Club, Morang 6-0 in the second pre-quarterfinal on Friday to advance to the quarterfinal.
Bharaul took the lead in the 13th minute through a goal by Tirtha Yakso at the Saraswati Ma VI proposed Stadium.

Dipen Rai scored two consecutive goals in the 16th and 28th minutes to give his team a three-goal cushion.

Dipen Rai scored the fourth goal in the eighth minute of the second half to complete the first hat- trick of the tournament. Similarly, Jivan Subba scored the fifth goal in the second half while Nirmal Tamang scored the sixth goal three minutes later to secure a big victory for the team.

Dipen Rai of Bharaul, who scored a hat-trick in the match, was declared the player of the Match. Ramesh Rauniyar, chairman of Duhabi Municipality-5, presented him with a cash prize of Rs 1,000 and a trophy.

The first quarterfinal match of the competition will be played between Duhabi Veteran Club (Red) and Kulifuyang Veteran Club, Morang.

The winner of the competition organized by Duhabi Veterans Football Club will get 51,000 rupees including the title and the runner-up will get 31,000 rupees. The final game will be played on November 20th.
