
Hosts Birat Veteran (A) have entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 4th Birat Veteran Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament.
In the third quarter-final held on Wednesday, Birat Veteran (A) defeated Hamro Dharan Veteran 2-0 to enter the last four. Krishna Shakya and Suraj Pradhan scored goals in Birat Veteran (A)'s victory. Pradhan was also named the Man of the Match.
The fourth and final quarter-final match under the tournament will be played on Thursday, Magh 24, between hosts Birat Veteran (B) and GJ United Veteran, Darjeeling, the organizers informed.
The winner of the tournament organized by Birat Veteran Club, Morang will receive a cash prize of Rs 1,01,111 along with the title, while the runner-up will receive Rs 50,555 along with a trophy, medal and certificate. The final match will be held on Magh 26.
