Sahara FC & SSFA have entered semifinals of 1st Shyam Thapa memorial cup football tournament.

Sahara FC defeated Dhambojhi 4-2 on penalties on Sunday to enter semifinals. Both teams played 1-1 draw in regulation time before going to spot kick battle.

SSFA defeated Sahara academy 2-1 to enter semifinals.

Jay Kisan sports club is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of NRs 1,05,000. Runners up team will get NRs 55,000.

Banke Bardiya Maitri Samaj, Japan is the main sponsor of the event.
