Football activities have been suspended in Jordan for 14 days after five Al Faisaly players tested positive for COVID-19.
The Jordan Football Association said the suspension of football activities was in line with the health procedures that are in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The suspension is effective Friday and halts not just the Jordan Pro League but all other competitions and activities, the Jordan FA said in a statement.
The Jordan Pro League season is still in its infancy, with Al Wehdat leading the standings with a perfect record of four wins to sit one point ahead of Al Hussein.
Nepalese football is in complete halt due to the pandemic. Nepal was supposed to host Jordan at home in November but AFC has already postponed the qualifiers to next year.
