
Sanyukta Yuwa Club, Sunsari moved to the final of 7th Bhaluwa gold cup football tournament defeating Raja Rani FC, Dhankuta 4-3 on penalties in Sunsari on Wednesday.
The teams played 1-1 draw in the regulation time to force the match to spot-kick battle.
RaRa FC took lead in the 15th minute but Milan Rai equalized the score in the 45th minute.
Niraj Basnet, Pujan Uperkoti, Milan Rai, Dilen Loktam converted spot-kick from Sanyukta. Ishwor Chaudhary's penalty kick was saved by RaRa FC goalie.
Bibek Poudel, Buddha Chemjong and Mikchen Tamang utilized spot-kick from Rara FC. Bhusan Subba and Bijay Dhimal failed to utilize the spot-kicks.
Milan Rai of Sanyukta was adjudged the man of the match and he received Nrs 5,000.
Madan Bhandari Sports Academy, Kathmandu will play against Chartare FC, Letang, Morang in second semifinal match on Thursday.
