Sankata Club has entered quarterfinals of Nepal Ice Far West Khaptad gold cup football tournament.

Sankata club defeated Gorkha Boys, Rupandehi 2-0 in pre-quarterfinal match on Friday.

Ravi Silwal scored the opener in 45+2 minute while Maxwell scored the second in 83rd minute.



Sankata goalie Raja Babu Thapa became the man of the match and received Rs 10,000 cash.

Nepal APF will play against Mechi Netralaya Kakarvitta FTC in quarterfinal match on Saturday.

Far West XI sports club is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 21 lakh.
