Nepal emerged victorious in their opening match of the Four Nation Cup, defeating Kyrgyzstan 1-0 at the Dasharath Stadium on Monday.

The only goal of the match came in the 10th minute, when Bimala Chaudhary capitalized on a brilliant cross from Sabita Rana Magar to put Nepal ahead.

Despite dominating possession and creating several more opportunities, Nepal failed to add to their lead, missing a number of clear-cut chances.

Preeti Rai became the player of the match and received NRs 25,000.

Nepal now looks forward to their next two matches in the tournament, where they will face Myanmar and Lebanon.Nepal will meet Lebanon on February 20.

The team will be eager to build on this performance and aim for a strong finish in the competition.
