
The seventh edition of the prestigious SAFF Women's Championship to be held this year will be held in Nepal. The meeting of the South Asian Football Federation (SAF) held on Monday took the decision.
Earlier, there was also a discussion that the SAFF Women's Championship would be held in Bangladesh. It is to be remembered that this year's SAFF Women's Championship will be held from October 17 to 30.
According to SAF, all seven teams from South Asia will participate in the tournament this year. Bangladesh is the defending champion of the tournament while Nepal is the runner-up. The last edition of the competition was also held in Nepal.
Nepal got the opportunity to host SAFF Women's Championship for the third consecutive time.
However, the venue has not been decided yet. Since Dasharath Stadium is not eligible to play international matches, there is also a possibility and option to play in Shahid Stadium in Biratnagar or Pokhara Stadium.
