Everest Football Club, Sarlahi has made a winning start in Saraswarnath Gold Cup state level open knockout football tournament.

In the opening match at Saraswarnath Mavi located in Siraha Municipality-12, Everest started victoriously by defeating Namo Buddha Youth Club, Saptari 4-3 in a tiebreaker.

Arun Blown of Everest was declared Man of the Match in the match. With this victory, Everest has also entered the semi-finals. Under the competition, the second quarter-final match on Sunday 23 Baisakh will be played between Him Kasturi Yuva Club, Lahan and Thokar Tol Football Club, Rautahat, informed the organizers.
