Birjung United advanced to the semi-finals of the 3rd Kumar Kartikeya Gold Cup after defeating Bagmati Province Police Training Centre 2-1 in a thrilling quarterfinal match today.
The match, held at Bandipur, Siraha, saw Birjung United’s Samir Kumar and Rabin Yadav find the back of the net, while Pratab Kumar Chaudhry scored the lone goal for the Bagmati side.
Samir Kumar was named the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance, contributing a crucial goal and playing a pivotal role in his team's victory.
The match started with both teams showing great energy, but it was Birjung United who broke the deadlock, with Samir Kumar's brilliant strike putting them ahead.
