
In the first Panbari Gold Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament which started on Saturday, Kerabari Football Club, Morang has made a winning start.
In the opening match, Kerabari started victoriously by defeating Bulls-11, Itahari in a tiebreaker. Before that, both the teams played a goalless draw. In the tiebreaker, Kerabari won 5-4.
Kerabari's goalkeeper Ayush Yonghang was declared the man of the match. With this victory, Kerabari has also entered the semi-finals.
Under the competition, the second quarter-final match on Sunday 23 Baisakh will be held between Young Boys FC, Tarhra and CDIC, Dhankuta, the organizers informed.
Organized by Panbari Football Club, Dharan, Sunsari, the winner of the inaugural tournament will receive a title and a cash prize of Rs 1,11,111, while the runner-up will receive a trophy, medal and certificate along with Rs 55,555. The final match will be held on 29th of Baisakh.
