Armed Police Force (APF) Pakli Sunsari has won the title of the 4th edition of Mills Gold Cup football tournament.
APF won the title by defeating the home team Pema Yuva club Biratnagar 3-1 in the final which was held on Saturday at Biratnagar Jut mill Stadium. With the win, APF received 2 lakh 11 thousand 100 rupees in cash.
For the win, Bharat Kapali, Dishan Rai and Dhan Bahadur Shrestha scored equal 1-1 goals on behalf of APF. Milan Rai scored the consolation goal for Pema Yuva Club.
Earlier in the year 2077, APF won the title of the first edition of the Mills Gold Cup. At that time, APF won the title by defeating Saino Sports Club Rani Morang in a tie breaker with 4-3 goals.
Dishon Rai of APF was declared the player of the match of the tournament. Highscore award went to APF's Hari Karki. He scored three goals in the game. The best goalkeeper was Susan BK of APF and Komal Khawas of Yuva Club was declared the tournament of the year.
Prizes were distributed by former chief minister of Koshi province Sherdhan Rai, central president of Nepal Sports Federation Parshuram Basnet, president of Mills Gold Cup Football Trust Bishnu Dangol & coordinator Manoj Khadka.
