News Sports Ministry Raises Concern Over Ten Officials Travelling With National Team !

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has sent a letter to the National Sports Council to take action against All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) for sending ten officials to visit Malaysia in violation of the National Sports Act.

On Wednesday, the ministry wrote a letter to NSC and issued an order to take action against illegal visits.

"It is understood that ANFA has sent ten officials on a visit without taking approval as per the provisions of the Sports Act. Therefore, we have sent a letter to take necessary action," said Shiv Regmi, spokesperson of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

For Friday's friendly match against Malaysia, ANFA along with Coach Vincenzo Alberto Ennis, Pravesh Katuwal (Coach), Vinod Dangol (Goalkeeper Coach), Manish Timsina (Goalkeeper Coach), Uttam raj Bhandari (Team Manager), Lokendra Kunwar (Physio), Gyan Bahadur Rai (Kit Manager) ), Deepak Khatiwada (team leader, ANFA vice president), Mahendra Chhetri (ANFA member), Indraman Tuladhar (CEO), district members Bharat Ghimire, Buddhi Bahadur Gurung, Sunil Lopchan, Jayakrishna Shrestha, Praveen Shrestha, Subin Kumar Shrestha have been sent on a visit.

In Section 28 (J) of the Sports Development Act, 2077, there is a legal provision to participate in international sports competitions with the approval of the National Sports Council. There is a provision to request to the Ministry of Home Affairs for permission to travel abroad to participate in sports competitions, training, seminars, seminars or conferences,'' the letter issued by the ministry said.
