Nepal women's team has started WAFF championship 2024 with a win.

Cheli defeated lower ranked Syria 4-1 in the group B opener played in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

Amisha Karki, Anita Basnet, Sabitra Bhandari & Rekha Paudel scored apiece for Nepal.

Nepal will play against Iraq on February 22 and against Palestine two days later.
