News Kaski: Eight Matches Played In 7th Biren Memorial 17th BT Cup Open Football Tournament

Eight matches have been completed (Thursday) in the 7th Biren Memorial 17th BT Cup Open Football Tournament organized by Buddhatol Youth (BT) Club.

In the first match played at Old Tundikhel between Lamagaun Team 'B' and Nayagalli, after the scheduled time ended goalless, Lamagaun 'B' won by 3-2 in the tiebreaker.

In the second match, Lamagaon Team 'A' beat our FC by 3-1. In the third match, Mandala defeated the Provincial Assembly team by a wide margin of 5-0 and entered the second stage.

Similarly, in the fourth match, Ratnasamaj Club defeated Milantole with a 1-0 goal difference and qualified for the second round. In the fifth match, LC Brothers defeated Acura FC by 3-0. After the match between Peepaldali Youth Club and Rivan United ended in a 1-1 draw, Peepaldali won by 3-1 in the tiebreaker.

The seventh match between Baniya Brothers and Pakhurikot ended in a 2-2 draw in regulation time, Baniya Brothers won the tiebreaker by 3-2 goals. In the last match, Pokhara Music House defeated BT Club by 3-0 and Pokhara Music House entered the next stage.

Asim Thapa, president of the club, informed that 8 matches will be played in the first phase on Friday as well. According to him, the winner of the competition, in which a total of 56 teams participated, will receive a cash prize of 1,71,111, a certificate with a shield and a medal. Similarly, the runner-up will receive a certificate with 105,555 rupees, shield and medal.

The best player of the tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs 10,000, while the best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and top scorer will each receive Rs 8,000 and a trophy, while a disciplined team will be awarded a trophy with Rs 10,000.
