Jhapa Gold Cup president Vinod Basnet has been honored in Bhadrapur, Jhapa.

Basnet was honored on the day of the finals of Om Sai Pathivara Hospital First Inter-municipal District Level League and Knockout Football Tournament held at Mechi Stadium today.

Youth and Sports Minister Dig Bahadur Limbu, Bhadrapur Mayor Ganesh Pokharel and Bhadrapur Jhapa Gold Cup President Dipesh Dhakal gave him a certificate for his special contribution to the development and promotion of sports through Gold Cup and other social organizations.

Basnet had made a special contribution to the completion of the first edition of the Bhadrapur Jhapa Gold Cup and the league and knockout football tournament that was completed today.

Arjundhara won the title of Bhadrapur Jhapa Gold Cup which was organized with the aim of producing young players from Jhapa, the fertile land of football.
