Arjundhara Municipality has won the title of Om Sai Pathivara Hospital First Intermunicipal District Level League and Knockout Football Tournament held at Mechi Stadium in Bhadrapur.

In the Bhadrapur Jhapa Gold Cup organized with the aim of producing young players from Jhapa, the fertile land of football, Arjundhara won the title by defeating Buddhashanti Rural Municipality in the final match held today.

Along with the title, Arjundhara received 3 lakh cash, trophy, medal and certificate. Buddhshanti, who was limited to the runner-up, was satisfied with cash 2 lakh, trophy, medal and certificate.

Arjundhara defeated Buddhashanti by 3-0 in a match played in front of a packed audience in the stadium. Throughout the match, Arjundhara did not allow Buddhashanti to move under pressure.

For Arjundhara, Shantiram Basnet scored in the 15th minute, Nikhil Tamang scored in the 30th minute and Badal Tamang scored in the 58th minute.

Arjundhara's Badal Tamang was the player of the match in the final. He got Rs 2,000 in cash and a trophy.
Similarly, the best goal keeper of the tournament was Anup Tamang of Arjundhara, the best coach was Pushpa Maden of Arjundhara, the highest goal scorer was Babin Bahora of Buddhashanti and the budding player Mausam Limbu of Bhadrapur Blazers. They received 5000 cash, trophy and medal.

Arjundhara's Nikhil Tamang was the best player of the tournament. He received 10,000 cash, trophy and medal.

Gold Cup President Dipesh Dhakal, General Secretary Jeevan Kumar Shrestha, Chief Guest Youth and Sports Minister Dig Bahadur Limbu, Chief Sponsor Om Sai Pathibhara Hospital President Deepak Pokharel, Bhadrapur Mayor Ganesh Pokharel, SAARC Chamber of Commerce Vice President Chandiraj Dhakal, Jhapa District Sports Development Committee Chairman Prashant Bhandari, Chief Advisor Tikaraj Dhakal, Jhapa Gold Cup Chairman Vinod Basnet and others distributed the prizes.
