With a thrilling victory, Tijok Youth Club, Panchthar has entered the semi-finals of the 16th Atmananda Cup Invitational Football Tournament held on the occasion of the 70th birth anniversary of Dharmaguru Atmananda Lingden.
In the second quarter-final held at Atmanand Stadium in Mangsebung, Ilam on Saturday, Tijok defeated Dhankuta District Football Association, Dhankuta 2-1 and managed to make it to the last four.
Sukraj Rai directed both goals in Tijok's victory. Buddha Chemjong scored the only goal for the defeated Dhankuta. In the match, Tijok's Rai was elected man of the match. He received 2500 cash as prize.
Under the competition, the third quarter-final match on Sunday, November 10, will be played between Chhathar Rural Municipality, Tehrathum and Sirijunga Sporting Club, Morang, informed the organizers.
The winner of the competition organized by Atma Pavitra Hakchat Yakchum and Mahan Sewa Ceremony, Mangsebung, Ilam, will receive a cash prize of Rs 3,11,170.
The final match will be held on the 17th of Mangsir
