News Kathmandu: Blue Bell Clinches Title Of 6th Naikap Gold Cup

Blue Bell Football Club has won the title of the 6th NAIKAP Gold Cup National Knockout Football Tournament with an easy victory. In the finals held at Naikap Stadium on Saturday, Blue Bell became the winner by defeating Madhyapur Jagaruk Youth Club by 5-0.

Blue Bell, who became the winner, received 500,000 in cash along with the title, while Madhyapur, the runner-up, was forced to settle for trophies and medals with 250,000. Mahadev Yuva Club and Hami Dajubhai Club, who were defeated in the semi-finals, won 50,000 each.

In the individual category, Suman Dangol of Madhyapur was selected as the best player, while Samit Shrestha of Blue Bell was declared as the best goalkeeper. Ashish Shrestha of Blue Bell became the best defender and Robin Pokharel of Blue Bell was declared the best coach. All those who excelled in the individual category received 15,000 each and a trophy.

Similarly, Aviral Rizal of Kurdan Football Academy and Nirav Khadka of Mahadev Youth jointly won the award for the highest scorer of the tournament. Both received 5,000 each in cash. Karate coach Birkrishna Shahi was awarded with the Chandragiri Sports Award-2080 on the occasion of the final match. He received 50,000 cash and an award for that.

The winning players were awarded by the chief guest Chandragiri Municipality Mayor Ghanshyam Giri and other guests. A total of 27 teams participated in the competition which started on October 27th, organized by Chandragiri Sports Academy, Chandragiri Municipality-14, Naya Naikap, Kathmandu.
