Kurdan Football Academy and Dajubhai Football Club have won the 6th Naikap Gold Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament on Sunday.
In the first match of the day at Naikap Stadium, Kurdan beat Gunakeshari Youth Club 4-1. In Kurdan's victory, Ranjan Shrestha scored two goals while Aviral Rizal and Sujit Raut scored one goal each. Samir Karki scored the only goal for Gunakeshari. Kurdan's Sahil Rana was elected Man of the Match.
With this win, Kurdan has entered the pre-quarterfinals. Similarly, in the second match, brothers defeated the Dipshikha youth group by 3-1. Kabbu Kandangwa, Khemraj Tamang and Anil Gurung scored for the brothers. Bishal Shrestha scored the only goal for the defeated Dipshikha.
In the match, Sujan Khanal of the brothers was declared man of the match. With this win, Dajubhai FC has also entered the pre-quarterfinals.
The winner of the competition organized by Chandragiri Sports Academy, Chandragiri-14, Naya Naikap, Kathmandu will receive 500,000 in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 250,000. The final match will be held on the 25th of Kartik.
