One of the contenders, Tribhuvan Army Football Club have entered the finals of the ongoing Isuzu Chitwan Gold Cup International Invitational Football Tournament.
In the second semi-final held on Sunday, Army reached the final after defeating Avenir FC, Cameroon 2-0. Captain George Prince Karki's goal in the 18th minute of the match played in Campachaur gave Army the lead.
The second goal was scored by substitute Santosh KC. KC, who entered the field in place of Bibek Basnet, added the second goal in the 76th minute to ensure the victory of the Army.
Army's Bimal Pandey was declared the player of the match in the match. He received Rs. 10,000 cash and a trophy as an award. Army will play the final for the title against another departmental team, Nepal APF FC, today.
The winners of the tournament organized by KBA Global Bharatpur FC, Chitwan will get a cash prize of Rs. 7,00,000 and the runner-up will receive Rs. 3,50,000.
