News First Chitwan Gold Cup Quarterfinal Postponed Due To Bad Light

The first quarter-final of the Isuzu Chitwan Gold Cup International Invitational Football Tournament has been postponed until Tuesday as it was difficult to continue the match due to bad light. 

Manang FC and Bagmati Youth Club, Sarlahi were facing each other on Monday. The organizers informed that the match was postponed as the match could not be continued due to continuous rain and bad light.

The match at Campachaur ended in a 1-1 draw on the scheduled time and was pushed to a tiebreaker. But the tiebreaker could not happen. The match coordinator Dhrua Bhushal informed that the tiebreaker will be held on Tuesday morning. 

Before that, Bagmati took the lead in the game with an own goal from Pravesh Danuwar in the 26th minute of the game. However, in the 20th minute of the second half, Fofana equalized for Manang.

Similarly, the organizers informed that the second quarter-final match on Tuesday will be between Avenir FC, Cameroon and Farsatikar Youth Club, Rupandehi.

The winner of the tournament organized by KBA Global Bharatpur FC, Chitwan, will get a cash prize of Rs. 7,00,000 and the runners-up will receive Rs. 3,50,000. The final match will be held on October 3rd.
