Bangladesh U-17 National Team have registered a dominating 5-0 victory over Maldives U-17 in the ongoing SAFF U-17 Championship in Sri Lanka.
In the match player at Racecourse Stadium in Colombo, Mirajul scored a hat-trick for Bangladesh while Murshed and Faisal scored a goal each.
Two days ago, Bangladesh registered a 5-1 victory against Sri Lanka in the day's second match to get all three points. Bangladesh have qualified for the semifinals with six points on board. Sri Lanka are second in the group with a better goal difference to the Maldives.
Sri Lanka are scheduled to play against the Maldives on Friday. The winners of the match will finish second in the group and qualify for the semifinals.
Six teams, Sri Lanka, India, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Maldives, are participating in the tournament, along with Nepal.
Nepal are in Group 'B'. India and Bhutan are in Nepal's group. Nepal will compete against Bhutan later today. Similarly, Nepal will play India in their second match on September 9.
The top two teams in the group will qualify for the semi-finals. The final will be held on September 14.
