In the Ninth National Games to be held in the Gandaki province, competition will be held in 36 games including two exhibition games. Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC), Tankalal Ghising, said in a press conference on Friday that the decision of the 112th board meeting of the NSC was made about the 36 games.

Rugby Seven-A-Side has been added, continuing the 35 games competed in the Eighth National Games. The exhibition games include pushing and canoeing. NSC's board meeting was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Youth and Sports at Singha Durbar on Friday under the chairmanship of Sports Minister Maheshwar Jung Gahatraj. This is the first board meeting of NSC since 2075 BS.

Member-Secretary Ghising informed that an estimated 6,800 players, 1,000 coaches, 500 managers, representatives of 114 associations and 1,000 officials will participate in the Ninth National Games.

Similarly, Nepal will participate in 23 games in the 19th Asian Games to be held in China. The board meeting has decided to include an estimated 150 players, 28 coaches and 20 other officials.
