News Kaski: Six Matches Played In National Veterans Tournament Today

Six games have been played on Saturday in the Nine-a-side Veteran Football Tournament organized by the Gandaki Ministry of Youth and Sports at Pokhara Stadium. Sangam B defeated Bolung Thamel FC 3-1 in the first match. In the 24th and 41st minutes, Narendra Jung Gurung scored two goals. Mahendra Gurung added another goal in the 48th minute. The Player of the Match award went to Narendra.

In the second match, Freedom Fighter defeated Hetauda Veteran 3-0. In the 16th and 51st minutes, Prince Ghising scored for Freedom. In the 41st minute, Bikram Shrestha also scored. Nagsoti Veteran of Hetauda was defeated by Jorpati Veteran Kathmandu by a score of two goals to one. Jorpati's Ranjit Lama and Nima Lama each scored one goal. Sulabh Jung Rana pulled one back for Nagsoti.

Thamel MFC was defeated by Chitwan Veteran. Chitwan scored in the 34th and 47th minutes, respectively, through Bharat Gurung and Surendra Chaudhary. Player of the Match was awarded to Keshav Kumar Karki.

Sano Gaucharan defeated Pokhara's Lakeside Veteran 3-0. Two goals were scored by Sagar Thapa, and one was scored by Shukra Tamang. Player of the Match was awarded to Sagar.

In the final match, Manang Marshyangdi Club won by a walkover.

Veteran teams are competing from Pokhara, Kathmandu, Hetauda, Waling, and other cities. The winner of the competition will receive Rs 300,000 in cash, followed by Rs 150,000 for the runner-up, Rs 30,000 for the two semi-finalists, Rs 20,000 for the best player, and Rs 15,000 for the best five categories.
