APF Football Club and Sankata Club have played the second goalless draw in the Martyr's Memorial A Division League to go back home with a point each. In a highly contested match, both teams had a lot of chances to score but both couldn't break the deadlock.

This was the first match for APF after their outstanding Aaha Rara Gold Cup victory in Pokhara last month. And they looked to continue their good form today and created numerous opportunities to score but squandered every chance that came at their door.

Sankata coach Bishnu Gurung was fresh off the involvement with the national team during the break. And his team couldn't click well today. Their partnership at the front between Glory Oden and Fode Fofana was having an off day. Sankata, although having registered an equal number of shots to APF looked to be on the back foot most of the time. Their best chance fell for Fode Fofana in the 80th minute. A header from a corner fell for a volley for Fode but he side-footed it straight at Yaya Kuriyama's hands

APF were really pushing towards the end of the match and a lot of chances came their way. The best chance of the day fell for Awas Lamichhane who stole the ball off Sankata defender Niraj Basnet and shot it to the near post for a Raja Babu Yadav save. He also injured himself in the process. A lot of close-range free kicks came their way, a lot of headers in the box as well. But they couldn't capitalize and added a point on the table.

With a point each, Sankata are fifth with 15 points while APF are ninth with 11 points.
