News Nepal U23 Completes Prep For Iran U23 Clash In AFC U23 Asian Qualifiers

Nepal U23 has completed its preparation for Iran U23 clash in AFC U23 Asian qualifiers.

Nepal will open the qualifiers taking on Iran in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on Monday.

Speaking in the pre-match conference, coach Bal Gopal Maharjan said they had little time to prepare but they were ready for the qualifiers.

"We had little time to prepare for the qualifiers. We could train for about only a few weeks as a team since most of the players were in the national team for the SAFF Championship. The impression in the team has been positive.

"All of our opponents are quality teams. We have to accept the reality and we look forward to achieving good results. We will do our best", said coach Maharjan.

Skipper Arpan Karki said, "We are doing well. Our training sessions have been great. Friendly match against Indonesia has helped us to find our weaknesses. We are ready to give good fight to our opponents".

Nepal has been grouped with Iran, Tajikistan and Lebanon.

Here are the fixtures:

Iran U23 vs Nepal U23: October 25, 16:45 local time

Nepal U23 vs Tajikistan U23: October 28, 19:45 local time
