Election Of All Nepal Football Players' Association Postponed - UPDATED
Election of All Nepal football players association has been postponed for an indefinite period.
The election was postponed on Monday evening after "fake players' registration claim" marred the process.
Former Nepal international duo Rajesh Manandhar and Anil Gurung have filed candidacy for the president.
Manandhar claimed that one ANFA official suspiciously registered the name of the players in election process after missing deadline.
Election process was halted after Manandhar filed an application at ANFA election committee demanding investigation of the issue.
Manandhar accused that “ANFA official” submitted fake players' registration form. He didn’t name the official.
ANFA spokesperson Sanjeev Mishra wasn’t reachable when contacted.
