News FC Chitwan Organizes Grassroots Football Development Workshop and Panel Discussion

The Grassroots Football Development Workshop and Panel Discussion, held as part of the Mayor's Cup in Bharatpur, marked a significant milestone for football development in Nepal.

The event saw active participation from over 500 enthusiastic student-athletes, underscoring the passion for football at the grassroots level in Bharatpur, Chitwan.

The panel discussion featured esteemed guests, including ANFA President Mr. Pankaj Bikram Nembang, FC Chitwan President Mr. Sachin Dhakal, and Players' Association President Mr. Bikram Lama. Their insights on the role of local bodies, associations, private organizations, and the players themselves provided invaluable perspectives on advancing football in the region.

The interactive discussion allowed young footballers to pose thought-provoking questions on the challenges faced at the grassroots level and explore potential solutions. Key points that emerged from the discussion included the need for stronger collaboration among stakeholders, creating an enabling environment for investment, revisiting league structures, and incorporating players' voices in decision-making processes.

The workshop sessions were conducted by experts who provided vital knowledge in areas such as nutrition, strength and conditioning, psychology, and injury prevention. These modern tools are essential for elevating the standard of Nepali football, and the student-athletes were thoroughly engaged, eager to apply their newfound knowledge.
