FC Chitwan, gearing up for its participation in the forthcoming second season of the Nepal Super League (NSL), has made a significant addition to its squad by securing the services of highly regarded Ghanaian midfielder, Afriyie Acquah.
FC Chitwan has officially confirmed the signing of the seasoned 31-year-old Ghanaian midfielder, thereby enlisting Afriyie Acquah, who is entering his second stint in the NSL, as another illustrious addition to their roster.
Afriyie Acquah, who has spent the majority of his professional football career in Italy's elite football landscape, boasts a remarkable resume, having represented prestigious clubs such as Palermo, Parma, Sampdoria, Torino, and Empoli. In addition to his Italian sojourn, he has also plied his trade in the top leagues of Germany, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
Afriyie Acquah's participation in the 2014 FIFA World Cup as a member of the Ghana national team further underscores his wealth of experience and high-profile status. His arrival at FC Chitwan is expected to bolster the squad significantly, enhancing their prospects in the Nepal Super League.
It's noteworthy that FC Chitwan is under the guidance of former Indian international player Mehrazzuddin Wadu as head coach. The team's marquee player is the seasoned goalkeeper Bishal Shrestha, while Nepal's renowned forward, Bimal Gharti Magar, assumes the role of the iconic player.
The second edition of the Nepal Super League (NSL), organized and managed by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), is scheduled to commence on the 24th of November.
