News Nepal Super League Season 2 Kicks Off; Defending Champs Kathmandu Rayzrs Win

In the much-awaited second Nepal Super (NSL), which started on Friday with pomp and grandeur, former winners Kathmandu Razors have started victoriously with a narrow margin of victory.

In the opening match at Dashrath Stadium, Rayzors defeated new visitor team Sporting Ilam FC 1-0.

Although the first half of the competitive game ended in a goalless draw, Rayzors took the lead at the beginning of the second half.

The only goal scored by Rajiv Lopchan from inside the box in the 51st minute became the deciding goal of the game.

With this victory, Kathmandu Razors has also managed to score three important points in the opening game.

Two games will be played on Saturday, November 9, as part of the competition. In the first match, Butwal Lumbini FC and Lalitpur City FC will meet, while in the second match, Pokhara Thunders and FC Chitwan will meet.

Nepal Sports and Event Management Pvt. Ltd is organizing the Super League with the special support of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
