Coach Prabesh Katuwal of Machhindra Club was heard to be confident in his team's preparations for the upcoming A division league season.

The coach said the team was progressing with their gameplay in their friendly against Nepal Police Club last week, which ended in a 1-1 draw, in a video released by the club on Youtube.

The defending champions will be aiming for back-to-back titles this time, and with a strong core of national players, he expressed confidence in his team's ability to defend their title. He is up for the challenge of integrating the national players into the squad.

"You have to take this on as a challenge as a coach." We had a good crop of national players last season as well, but we were hampered by suspensions and other factors. So this time we tried to strengthen the team with good players," Katuwal explained.

In addition, Katuwal stated that defending the league title is more difficult than winning it for the first time. "Every team is here to win, and everyone is aiming for first place.

"They'll try to stop us," Katuwal predicted. "It's a challenge, but we've put together a strong team, and we'll try to win it again."

Machhindra were due to play New Road Team (NRT) on the 18th of November before the postponement and the new fixture dates are yet to be announced.
