Province 1 Dhankuta: Bhim Narayan Memorial Foundation Enters SFs

Bhim Narayan Memorial Foundation, Dhankuta has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 16th Shahid Bhimnarayan Gold Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament here in Dhankuta.

In the fourth quarter-final held on Wednesday, the hosts defeated Salhesh Yuva Club, Siraha 1-0 and entered semifinals.

Khamir Gilson Kandangwa scored the only decisive goal for Bhimnarayan Memorial Foundation in the match at Tudikhel ground.

Salhesh also had a chance to score in the game. Faguram Tharu's penalty shot was saved by the host's goalkeeper Pradeep Bhandari.

Bhimnarayan Memorial Foundation's goalkeeper Pradip Bhandari, who played an important role in the victory of the home team, was also declared the man of the match. He was handed over 5,000 cash and a trophy as an award.

As part of the competition, the first semi-final match on Thursday will be played between APF Football Club, Kathmandu & Rastriya Jagriti club, Itahari.

The winner of the competition organized by Martyr Bhimnarayan Memorial Foundation, Dhankuta will receive a cash prize of Rs 500,000 and the runner-up will receive Rs 250,000. The final match will be held on the 29th of Baisakh.
