Hanami Bharatpur Football Club (BFC) and Panas Yuva Club have entered the semifinals of the Central College Chitwan District A Division Football League.
With the completion of the last two matches of Group A on Wednesday, BFC and Panas made it to the semi-finals. BFC has 13 points with 5 wins and 1 loss in 6 league matches. On the other hand, Panas has made it to the semi-finals with 13 points including 4 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw in the same match.
In the first match at Shardanagar, BFC defeated Gitanagar Boys by a wide margin of 5-0. Sandeep KC scored in the 32nd and 67th minutes, Sandesh Shrestha scored in the 35th and 54th minutes and Suman Ala scored in the 25th minute to give BFC a must-win win. BFC's Sadeep KC was Man of the Match.
In the second match, Panas tied the Astral Youth Society and lost a point. Panas needed at least one point to qualify for the semi-finals. On the other hand, Astral needed 3 clear points.
Astral took the lead in the game. In the 57th minute of the game, Ashwin Lo Tamang scored a penalty and gave Astral the lead. But he could not maintain that lead. Shiv Gurung of Panas scored the equalizing goal in the 69th minute. That goal was enough to make Panas a place in the semi-finals.
Nischal Basnet of Panas was Man of the Match. Central College of Vocational Training Pvt Ltd is the main sponsor of the tournament organized by Chitwan District Football Association.
