Lisnu Yuwa Club, Kotihwa has won the title of 36th Jharna Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament.
In the title match on Saturday, Lisnu managed to win the title by defeating the host Jharna Sports Club 1-0. In Lisnu's victory, the only goal scored by Angel Maharjan from the penalty became the deciding goal of the game.
Lisnu, who became the winner, received 331,000 in cash along with the title, while runner-up Jharna was forced to settle for trophies, medals and certificates with 181,000.
Kuldeep Karki, the captain of Jharna, was chosen as the best defender, while Bishal KC of Lisnu was the best goalkeeper. Santosh Khatri of Jharna became the best midfielder and Sushil Rai of Lisnu became the best forward. Jitesh Gurung of Jharna was declared the best player of the tournament.
A total of 16 teams participated in the tournament which was organized by Jharna Sports Club, Tilottama-6, Kunjalapur.
