Makwanpur: 3rd Bagmati Gold Cup Kicks Off; Hosts Are Thru To QFs

3rd Bagmati gold cup got underway on Saturday at Phaparbari, Makwanpur.

Hosts Bagmati rural sports development committee defeated Bagmati municipality Sarlahi 1-0 in the openeing match played at Phabarbari mini football stadium.

Baburam Majhi scored the match winner in 5th minute.

Bagmati Sarlahi could have changed the score line had they not wasted the spot kick. Hukum Rayamajhi wasted the kick in the first half.

Hosts goalie Amrit Pakhrin received the man of the match award of Nrs 5,000 cash.

Nawa Jana Jagriti yuwa club will play against Danfe Club on Sunday.
