Nepal olympic team defeated Maldives olympic team 2-1 to put feet closer to gold medal match.

Nepal came from a goal down to beat Maldives at Dasharath stadium on Saturday.

Maldives took a lead through Ibrahim Mahudhee Hussain in 18th minute.

Abhisek Rijal leveled the score in 43rd minute. He was cautioned with a yellow card for his shirt-pulling celebration.

Defender Ananta Tamang scored second goal for Nepal in 52nd minute, that remained decisive.

Nepal have seven points whereas Bhutan has six points from three matches. Bhutan is playing against Sri Lanka this evening.

Bangladesh have four points and will play against Nepal on December 8.
