3rd NYC cup football tournament got underway on Saturday at Pradipnagar, Tilottama Rupandehi.

Jharna sports club defeated Radha Krishna yuwa club 6-1 in the opening match.

Mohan Thapa scored four goals alone while Seth Pariyar scored a brace. Surya Chaudhary scored a consolation goal for RKFC.

Hat trick hero Thapa became the man of the match.

According to tournament coordinator Gobinda Aryal, the champions will get Nrs 1 lakh and runners up team will get Nrs 50,000.
