Nepal Army defeated Ruslan Three Star Club 2-1 on Thursday to enter semifinals of 2nd Far West Khaptad gold cup in Dhangadhi.

Nepal Army started the match in a good not as they opened their firing early on 6th minute.

Nawayug Shrestha provided Nepal Army a playful lead. However, Ruslan Three Star Club kept Army men under pressure throughout the first half.

After lemon break, Army doubled the lead through defender Suman Aryal in 49th minute.

The Lalitpur based club cut the deficit in 53rd minute but that was not sufficient to overcome the loss.

Nepal Army skipper Bharat Khawas was declared the man of the match and he received Rs 10,000 cash.
