Hanami 5th Chitwan Championship: Deshbhakta Youth Club Moves To QFs
Deshbhakta Youth Club marched to quarterfinals of Hanami 5th Chitwan Championship as they sidelined Basantapur United 5-4 on penalties at Junior Police Officers College ground, Bharatpur on Thursday.
The match ended at 1-1 draw in the regulation time to force it to the spot-kick battle.
Junit Ghising provided lead to Basantapur United in the 11th minute but Lisan Sunar levelled the score in the 24th minute.
Birendra Saru Magar bagged the man of the match.
Hosts Everest Club, Chitwan will meet Abhisekh Church, Rajahar on Friday.
The tournament has winning purse of Rs. 3,00,000.
