Nepal women's team defeated Indonesia women's team 2-1 to find some solace in Tokyo Olympic round 2 qualifiers.

Both teams had already crashed out from the qualifiers and were playing for some pride before returning home.

Nepal are ranked 103th while Indonesia are in 86th position.

Sabitra Bhandari scored a brace (36 mins, 89 mins) for Nepal. 

Baiq Amiatun Shalihah scored one in 47th minute for Indonesia.

Coach Hari Khadka said they couldn't achieve good result in the qualifiers.

"We couldn't achieve what we targeted but we have learned a lot from this qualifiers. I would like to thank ANFA, players and fans for their support", said Khadka.

Hosts Myanmar qualified to the final round, leapfrogging India on goal difference.
