News Nepal Army's Ashish Shakya Fractures Collar Bone; Needs Surgery

Nepal Army's young midfielder Ashish Shakya has suffered clavicle fracture during semifinal match of 4th Jhapa gold cup football tournament at Domalal Rajbanshi ground on Saturday. 

Shakya collided with Tina Dider in the 32nd minute. Dider was shown yellow card for his foul.

He was immediately rushed to nearest hospital, B & C where he was diagnosed with clavicle fracture (a break in collar bone).

Coach Chun Bahadur Thapa confirmed GoalNepal that Shakya needed surgery.

"Doctor have said that he needs surgery for his fracture. We are waiting for ortho surgeon to come in the hospital. We are discussing with doctor if he could fly to Kathmandu for better treatment", said Thapa.

Nepal Army will play against hosts Jhapa XI in the final match on Monday. The champions will get Nrs 12,50,000.
